Q. How can I move a picture that was e-mailed to me over to a photo Web site so that I can order copies?

A. Start by downloading the photo attachment from the e-mail message and saving it to your computer. Depending on your mail program, you may have different ways to do this. Common methods include right-clicking on the image and using the save option, clicking a download button on the message window or dragging the photo onto the desktop.

Once you download the photo, you can then upload it to your preferred photo site and order prints. In addition to picture-sharing sites like Snapfish (snapfish.com) and Shutterfly (shutterfly.com), many stores, like Walgreens (photo.walgreens.com), Wal-Mart (photos2.walmart.com) and CVS Pharmacy (cvsphoto.com), let you upload and order prints.

Once you create an account on a photo site, follow the instructions for locating the picture on your hard drive and uploading it to the site for processing and ordering prints.

Some services like Picwing (picwing.com) even let you e-mail photos for printing. And Mac owners using Apple’s Mail program can use the Save to iPhoto drop-down menu on the message header. Open the iPhoto program, select the saved picture and choose Order Prints under the File menu to get your photo finishing done through Apple.
